History
1949
Vitus Bühler founded a cutsheet print office with several rapid presses in Augsburg.
1955
The high quality typographic works poduced on letterpress printing machines soon gained international recognition.
1960
The decision was taken to engage in the production of business forms.
1970
The company has a definitive influence on the development of OCR readable pre-print products.
1975
After moving to a new site in Königsbrunn (near Augsburg) Walter Bühler becomes the CEO of the enterprise.
1980
Giro Com. Bühler Druck succeeds in combining various printing techniques (Offset, Flexo and letterpress) on four multi-web machines.
1985
Several processes for coating additives, developed by W. Bühler, are granted a patent.
1990
The enterprise now runs eight multi-web rotations and has grown consistantly.
1992
The company moves to the new site in Bobingen (South-West of Augsburg) and invests in inkjet technology.
1994
Ten high-flexibility rotary printing presses provide a variety of print products for notable public authorities and publishing houses.
2000
Ramp-up of double-ended labels with two-sided laminated silicone paper.
The product line-up is complete with the repeated investment in inkjet technology for the production of barcoded multiple-sheet-forms and labels.
2005
Implementation of a multi-channel enveloping machine for the production of fully personalized authoritiy assessments and direct mailings.
2010
Pre-press upgrade with state-of-the-art CTP technology powered by iMacs.
After 50 years of successful business activity, Mr. Walter Bühler consigns the management to his sons Magnus and Kilian Bühler.
